  1. Man Utd silent over Quagliarella Manchester United remain tight-lipped over claims by Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella that he is being targeted by the Premier League champions. Quagliarella, 23, says United have increased a reported £10m bid to beat off opposition from top Serie A clubs. Sampdoria say only an "extraordinary offer" would prise away Quagliarella, who is under contract until 2010. Quagliarella told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I would gladly join the Premier League but I would prefer to remain in Italy." Manchester United are a big deal but I would prefer to remain in Italy He joined Sampdoria from Ascoli last summer, although his sporting rights are jointly owned by the Genoa club and Udinese. Quagliarella made 35 Serie A appearances for Sampdoria last season and his 13 goals and performances earned him a call-up by Italy coach Roberto Donadoni. Earlier this month, he scored his first goals for the Azzurri in Italy's 2-0 Euro 2008 qualifying win against Lithuania. Despite expressing an interest in a move to Manchester, Quagliarella insists his preference would be to stay in Italy to seal his place in the national team. He said: "It seems a serious offer from Manchester, they have raised it and it is an important figure. "Manchester United are a big deal and if it ended up going that way, the Premier League is a fascinating and beautiful competition. "But I am really happy at Sampdoria and would prefer to remain in Italy, having continuity and the trust of Donadoni." Barcelona's former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford, while United striker Giusseppe Rossi has pleaded for a first-team chance. Rossi, 20, was loaned out to Newcastle United at the start of last season before moving to Parma, where he enjoyed a goalscoring record that attracted the interest of Serie A clubs. BBC OUh là ce silence de MU, a mon avis ça signifie quelque chose car d'habitude on s'empresse de démentir.
  2. Oui ça devient sérieux là, info reprise par le site officiel.
  3. D'un coup d'un seul ça s'emballe de nouveau sur Saviola, The Sun, News of the World, setanta, foot365.com.

    Samuel Eto'o

Apparement premier échec dans notre tentative pour Eto'o: Barca say no to United's £25 million Etoo bid? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Manchester United Fail In First Bid For Eto'o 10th June 2007 Man U's bid to secure Barcelona star fails in first attempt after offering 25 Million Pounds. Samuel Eto'o, who has been long sought after by many top clubs in European football has reportedly received a second bid after the Liverpool bid failed last week. The skillful Cameroonian whose main speciality is in goals merchandise, seems to be more coveted by top Premeirship clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal who have shown more resolve, then their Serie A rivals, like Inter Milan, perhaps save for the desperate AC Milan, in the chase for Barca's star. Premeirship champions Manchester United offered almost 40 Million Euros(25 Million pounds) for the goalpoacher, but this was not enough to convince the officials at Camp Nou to release their attack pointman. Another reason for the refusal by Barcelona officials is their unwillingness to let Eto'o go, as he is still very important to the Catalans as they rebuild toward a very challenging next season, especially after the recent dramatic weekend in the La Liga that confined the Spanish giants to the second position with just one match left to end the Championship. Barca will, if not anything, be looking for ways to consolidate on their team strength in all departments, rather than letting go of the valuable players they already have which might weaken the team. As a prelude to the offer, Manchester's CEO, David Gill said for his club: Will be looking to make changes and if anything does happen, it will be in the striking department. After that comment, the bid for Eto'o came, but has not been receiving the right signals from Camp Nou. Manchster are considering another bid for the Barcelona star or may turn to an alternative striker if the bid for Eto'o continues to be short-circuited by higher factors. http://www.fcbarcelonablog.com/fcbar..._first_bid_for
  20. Et voilà que le Sunday Express annonce qu'on a le feu vert pour Berbatov: FERGUSON GIVEN BACKING TO NET BERBATOV Saturday June 9,2007 By Peter Edwards Have your say(5) SIR Alex Ferguson has been given the green light to continue his summer spending spree and bring in a top-line striker, with with Spurs’ Dimitar Berbatov his main target. The Manchester United boss has already shelled out over £50 million to bring in midfielders Owen Hargreaves, Nani and Anderson. But Old Trafford chief executive David Gill has made it clear there are more funds available if he can find the right man to boost his team’s firepower. As well as Berbatov, Ferguson has already been linked with Bolton striker Nicolas Anelka and Atletico Madrid’s Fernando Torres. With a question mark hanging over the fitness of Louis Saha and veteran Ole Gunnar Solskjaer undergoing another knee operation, he knows he needs more support for Wayne Rooney. Gill said: “We’ve looked at it and if something comes along in another area, which is a striker, we’ll see what happens. “We’re not desperate but if any top player came along and Alex and the team felt they would strengthen the side then we would move for them. If anything does happen it will be in the striking department.” Ferguson is under no pressure to sell but is certain to sanction the sale of one or two members of last season’s title-winning squad. He ran out of patience with Saha’s injury problems and the Frenchman’s United days look to be numbered. Defender Gabriel Heinze also looks certain to leave after attracting the attention of Real Madrid. Gill added: “There should be some people leaving.”

    Carlos Tevez

info relayée par The People: FERGIE'S TEVEZ SWOOP By Steve Bates MANCHESTER United were last night closing in on a spectacular deal to land West Ham star Carlos Tevez. I understand Old Trafford chief executive David Gill, prompted by boss Sir Alex Ferguson, is working to unravel the complicated issue of the player's ownership - which cost the Hammers a record £5.5million Premier League fine - and he believes a £12m deal could be done inside a week. Tevez has refused to commit his long-term future to West Ham, despite almost single-handedly keeping the Hammers up last season.

Berbatov's Transfer to Man United in July? Sir Alex Ferguson had a phone talk with Dimiter Berbatov a couple of days ago, revealed from topsport.bg. Manchester United's manager called Berbo while the national was on the training camp in ‘Boiana' residence. The conversation continued for 5 minutes. Emil Danchev, Berbatov's manager, will fly to the Island at the end of June to meet Ferguson, reported UK media. According to the information the personal terms of Dimitar with the ‘red devils' will be settled by the time of Danchev's visit. Hard negotiations between Man United and Tottenham are expected from now on. It is foreseen the deal for the best Bulgarian football player's transfer to happened by the end of June-the beginning of July. Topsport tried to reach yesterday Emil Danchev on his mobile phone, but Berbo's manager did not pick up. http://international.ibox.bg/news/id_1816431706
