Manchester United and Spurs at involved in a tug-of-war to sign highly-rated Crewe teenager Nick Powell.

The 18-year-old has fired the Railwaymen into the League Two play-off's, scoring 15 goals this season and was awarded the Football League's Apprentic of the Year prize earlier this season.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and assistant Mike Phelan are understood to be closely monitoring the attacking midfielder, who has been tipped for success at the top.
Powell's rise from Crewe's fabled academy ranks - where the likes of David Platt, Danny Murphy and Dean Ashton once started - has alerted the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea while Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the player.
Last month, Powell became the first player in Crewe's history to win EVERY prize at the club's end-of-season awards, scooping a total of five prizes.
Crewe assistant boss Neil Baker said: 'It will take a lot of doing, but he could be the best of the lot.
