Trio eye Ajax ace
United, City and Reds all tracking Dutch striker
A trio of Premier League sides dispatched scouts to run the rule over Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar at the weekend.
The likes of Manchester United and City, along with Liverpool, all wanted to know how the Holland international is performing.
They are unlikely to be have been disappointed with Huntelaar after he netted a brace in Ajax's convincing 6-1 romp over AZ Alkmaar.
Huntelaar, 24, has been capped nine times by his country and has an impressive 55 goals from just 66 appearances for the Amsterdam giants following his switch from Heerenveen.
The striker was not the only player to come under the microscope, with keeper Maarten Stekelenburg being watched again by a scout from Tottenham.
Paul Robinson's future at White Hart Lane has come under question of late after being dropped by Juande Ramos, with Radek Cerny being given a chance between the sticks.
Representatives from both Blackburn and Sunderland were also reportedly on hand to view Ajax's clash with AZ, although it remains unclear who they were watching.
