Alan Smith believes Manchester United's failure to land a new striker this summer could prolong his stay at Old Trafford.
Sir Alex Ferguson has not, though, landed the striking option he was expected to and, with this in mind; Smith is now considering the option of remaining in Manchester.
Smith conceded earlier in the summer that he would be ready to quit the club if assurances were not forthcoming and, he would certainly not be short of suitors should he elect to seek pastures new.
Everton are believed to be at the head of the queue for his services, with Sunderland, Portsmouth and Newcastle also monitoring his situation, but for now, Smith is content to fight for his future at United.
"I don't want to leave," Smith is quoted as saying in The Sun. "We need forwards and I want to have a proper go this season."
Smith pense que si manchester ne trouve pas un autre attaquant il pourrait prolonger son contrat car il ne veut pas partir.
