    United Prepared to Swoop for Frustrated Villa

     

     

    David Villa`s dream of signing for either Real Madrid or Barcelona appears to be slipping away from him. Madrid`s pursuit of the Valencia forward effectively came to an end with the signing of Karim Benzema, while Barcelona are edging closer to sealing a deal with Inter Milan for Ibrahimovic in a deal that could see Samuel Eto`o move in the opposite direction, if the Cameroon striker agrees to the switch.

     

    Villa had come close to obtaining his dream move to one of Spain`s big two clubs, but despite the player`s and his suitor`s best efforts, a move has failed to materialise.

     

    Real Madrid had been very close to an agreement, after offering €43 million plus Negredo to Valencia but, after it had appeared they were prepared to sell the player for a similar fee, but ongoing institutional crisis at the Mestalla never fails to surprise - and the new board in charge of the debt laden club turned down the offer.

     

    On Friday, Barcelona came close to agreeing a deal with Valencia, but their €45 million verbal offer was subsequently rejected.

     

    Villa had even offered to reduce his personal terms in order to give Barcelona greater bargaining power, but that was still not enough to persuade Valencia to release the player. Consequently Joan Laporta decided to follow up on a conversation he had first held 2 weeks previously with Inter`s Massimo Moratti, and the Barcelona president travelled to Milan on Friday to seal an agreement with the Italian club for Ibrahimovic. Alexander Hleb, a target for Everton, could also be included in the package on a loan agreement.

     

    David Villa was unaware of Barcelona`s agreement with Ibrahimovic - as were the Spanish international`s representatives - and his discovery, on Saturday morning, that Barcelona had effectively abandoned their pursuit of him has left him distraught.

     

     

    Manchester United have been following the situation very closely and they have told Villa`s representatives that, in the next day or so, they will make an offer for the player that will meet with the approval of both Valencia and the player. In order to satisfy Valencia, that would mean United are prepared to offer the Spanish club around €45 million, plus a salary package in the region of €8 million a year to the player.

     

    David Villa has always insisted that he would like to remain in Spain and that he does not want to move abroad, that is, until now. However, for the second consecutive season, the player has seen his dream to move to one of the two top Spanish teams end in frustration, and it is plausible that his increasing frustration at his current situation could prompt him to abandon Spain and drive him toward the Premier League and into the hands of Manchester United.

     

    Villa`s representatives have been told that Sir Alex Ferguson`s comments that United have ended their summer spending is nothing more than an attempt to avoid becoming distracted by a summer of speculation and is a strategy for dealing with an increasingly volatile transfer market - and that if the United manager is presented with an opportunity to sign a player of David Villa`s calibre, then he has both the resources and the desire to do so.

    On a signé un jeune norvégien hier dont l'identité n'a pas été révelée.

    edit: ça y est on a son identité, c'est Mame Biram Diouf attaquant de 21 ans de Molde et d'après ce que j'ai pu voir sur youtube il a l'air très prometteur. Il reste en prêt à Molde jusqu'en Janvier. On a été obligé d'agir car Molde a reçu plusieurs offres dont une probable d' Arsanale qui avait montré un intérêt dans le joueur depuis plusieurs mois. Alors si en plus on l'a piqué aux gunneuses c'est que du bonheur.

    C'est bizarre parce qu'ils donnent la liste des joueurs qui ont fait le voyage, et puis après ils rajoutent que les 3 nouvelles recrues en font partie aussi. Donc Owen, Valencia, Obertan

    Arrêtez de vous énerver, il a dit ça pour calmer la spéculation des médias et travailler tranquillement. Je suis sûr qu'il y aura d'autres arrivées, et que l'une d'entre elles sera Douglas Costa. Elle est trop louche, son interview, je vous dit. Allez faire un tour sur le forum du site off et vous verrez qu'on est beaucoup à penser que c'est du bluff.

    Franchement vous le croyez Ferguson quand il sort sa phrase "c'est la fin de nos transferts". Il nous la sort chaque année.

    Et puis si vous lisez bien attentivement la fin de l'interview, il se contredit le Père Fergie. En effet, il ajoute: "A 2 mois de la fin du mercato, tout est possible".

    Et puis si on rajoute à ça l'interview de David Gill sur Manutd.com où il dit qu'il s'attend à des mouvement de joueurs pendant la tournée en Asie. Bref pour l'instant je n'y crois pas. On saura le fin mot de l'histoire le 31 Août à minuit.

    Et puis si personne vient et que ça se passe mal, on avisera au Mercato d'hiver.

    Sur les 90M du portugais + 30M euros annuels pour les transferts, on en a dépensé que 23M.

    Il y a eu une déclaration disant que cet argent serait réinvesti dans les transferts. Mais pour l'instant je crois qu'on s'est bien foutu de nous et que le transfert du portugais va servir à renflouer une partie de la dette, car parmi tous les joueurs top niveau aucun n'est atteignable. La plupart ne veulent pas venir car ils sont déjà bien installés dans un bon club, et les autres préfèrent l'Espagne.

    Bon ça semble se confirmer pour Owen. A noter qu'il ne couterait rien puisqu'il est libre et qu'on aurait que son salaire à prendre en charge.

    D'après Radio Five Live, ça devrait être confirmé ce soir et autre signe qui ne trompe pas il est côté a 1 contre 3 chez les bookmakers quant à sa venue à manchester United.

    Parmi les joueurs au top il nous reste que Aguero et Ibrahimovitch, le reste c'est des econd couteaux. Il est loin le temps où MU faisait rever les meilleurs.

    Il faut qu'on fasse notre marché en Angleterre et du côté d'Aston Villa notament car pour les anglais il n'y a rien de mieux que Manchester United. Et eux ils en ont rien à foutre de madrid ou Barcelone.
